New Construction Master Bathroom..
Comments (4)Thanks for the input.. We are definitely more shower people.. Granted that currently we don't have a tub, but I can't imagine that we would use one all that often.. If anyone is going to use the tub it will be the wife.. The problem is that we currently have a 4'10" x 2'8" shower and it is way too small.. I am a bigger guy and with the current shower I am banging elbows on the glass and wall.. Nevermind if two of us are in the shower.. At that point we are squeezing by each other and its just a mess.. Would like to have a shower that has more then enough room to move around when both of us are showering together.. And being that we are not "tub" people I figured why waste all that space on a corner tub that looks nice when we can get a bigger shower that will not only look nice but actually get used.....See MoreNeed Help with Master Bedroom Bathroom/Bedroom Layout - 1970s house
Comments (5)I like my first idea best as far as use of space. I know people say not to put toilets on an outside wall. We had one in our last house in Iowa, but we had 2X6 construction. I don't know how high your window is, but I'm guessing the toilet would fit under there. The shower would be 5 feet long or shorter if you want a wider space to get to the toilet. (kind of tight the way I have drawn). You could do a 5 and half foot long shower and do an angled door at the left end to allow room between the shower and toilet. The vanity would be about 7 feet long, unless you do a 60 inch vanity with a linen cabinet at the door. I would reverse entry door swing if you do that.. The second top right could work and you would still have a small closet. The bottom left plan would require waterproofing your front window. Hopefully someone will give you other ideas. The bottom right plan is bigger, but no closet. Each square equals 1 foot....See MoreMaster bathroom redecorating in new house
Comments (3)Thanks. I'm hoping replacing current fixture with a pendant would help with the lighting. I don't want to cut through the tile for sconces until we're ready for major work on the bathroom. Anyone else have ideas for me about window treatments or colors?...See MoreBuilding a House - Layout Help For Master Bathroom
Comments (10)I really would like to have a steam shower, and maximizing storage. Also, it is important that we don't have to leave the shower to get our towels. I hate being cold and reaching far for them!...See Moresuezbell
