Blackchamois, its not oyster gray, but I think that grout color could be fantastic in another kitchen. Actually I know it would be fantastic, bc when I started looking for grout, its the color I wanted (ended up being too dark gray for my kitchen). I'm attaching the pic I first saw with it and the link of the kitchen. I really think its beautiful inthe right kitchen. My tiles are daltile, which have self spacers in them. You can find them in home depot (I had to special order my color)...they're made in the USA (except for the bullnose ones which are made in Mexico) Here is a link that might be useful: oyster grey

From what I see in the photo, I don't think I would paint the fireplace wall an accent color. It draws the eye to a tile that you're trying to camouflage and makes the narrow, angled wall a stand-out. I'm not sure what color to paint it but I would experiment with dark gray, a darker shade of your wall color or the black. Also, before painting, determine if you want the grout lines painted the same color of if you want them to stand out as grout lines. Semi-gloss is recommended on other DIY sites, but I think whether you choose satin or semi comes down to personal preference.

My countertops just got installed, I picked the backsplash tile, and now I'm wondering which grout to go with. Should I do a grey grout for the pattern to pop more, I guess it will look like it does in the pic, or white grout so that it has less contrast? I laid the tile on top of the counter because it was hard to get the pattern of both from a different angle. The cabinets are white. Works well with your space/furnishings/style. 👌🏼 And the comfy, cozy shags are wonderful. :) imo, your vertical mirror is well-placed and adds some nice height, light, reflection, expansion in that spot. You have a very good eye. Alternatively, a plant could work there, too. So, either way. It’s really a matter of personal preference. I’m not such a personal fan of mirrors in a bedoom; and from the Eastern Feng Shui perspective, it is not considered to be so desirable. But people have mirrors in bedrooms, and that is also a matter of personal preference. The architectural design on that tv wall is fabulous. I agree that it’s very interesting in the lines. I think I would just leave it, though... no accent color. I don’t think it necessarily needs to be enhanced that way, and I also think with the combination of colors in your space, I’d just keep the wall(s) simple. That wall, as it is now, is really interesting enough; so in this case, less is more, imo. However, if you really want to do an accent wall there, I would agree with the idea of a light blue/aqua, possibly... Or alternatively, a light taupe. Best thing is to get some large sheets of paper or cardboard/oak tag and hang it up to see how a colored wall might look and feel. You can also order some paint samples from Samplize.com.
