Usually I arrange the furniture to watch TV and petty much ignore the FP, these corner FPs are so stupid I would love to strangle the idiot that decided this was ever a good idea. If you put the TV on the left wall a sofa facing the sliding door wall and 2 nice swivel chairs to watch TV then with a little turn you can still enjoy the FP if you want. I would probably do a Besta wall with the TV some display and storage to give a bit of balance in the space .

This is the idea but yout wall unit would be on the left wall.

I have the same problem and I took Patricia's advice and chose to ignore it and focus on the tv. Works much better.

Thank you so much Patricia, yes when we purchased the home we were so excited until the time came to figure out furniture arrangement, now I feel the corner fireplace is stupid lol, but I really like your idea, we were under the feeling that we needed to center everything with the fireplace.

Now after seeing the pictures I would remove the wood surround on the FP and just do a nice thick wood mantel with a piece of art you love hung above it.
