Kitchen sink needs a hot water boost.

The hot water in our newly renovated home takes a long time to reach the kitchen sink and prep sink. I would like to install either an under-sink Bosch heater or perhaps a recirculating pump on the entire water line. The hot water heater is on the opposite end of the house from the kitchen and one floor down. It supplies the main kitchen and guest bath, plus the gym shower and a basement utility kitchen.

I have never used either a booster or a recirculator, but I‘m guessing the Bosch unit would give very quick, quite hot water to the main sink only — and maybe the adjacent Bosch dishwasher, depending where in the line it goes? A recirculating pump, however, would supply “warm“ water to all the sinks and bathrooms on our lower two floors.

Am I correctly understanding how these devices work? And which would be best and most energy efficient? The main kitchen sink is the biggest PITA but having warm water everywhere would be a pice perk, too. Thanks in advance for any insight!
