Do you recommend Canadel furniture
Comments (71)Update to my comment last year. We loved our Canadel table, chairs and counter stools that we had for 20+ years and when we downsized last year, I was hesitant to buy any more Canadel products after reading the reviews. However, we decided to buy a small Canadel table for our new kitchen to match the counter stools (from 20+ years ago) that we took with us to our new place. So glad we did! The table is wonderful. Even better, we were able to get the same wood and black finishes to match our old counter stools. Most companies do not maintain the same colors and woods over the years, but Canadel does. We've had the table now for about 7 months and it is holding up well with no scratches (we use placemats). One of the swivels on our 20+ year old counter stools finally stopped working properly. The furniture store where we bought the new table contacted Canadel for us, who provided us with the name of the manufacturer of the metal swivel piece. We we were able to order a replacement swivel directly from that manufacturer, put it on the stool and it's now like new. Our experience with Canadel has been good and we are very pleased with their furniture....See MoreCanadel Dining Table
Comments (3)I have had mine since Sept. I am very pleased with the table. Its solid. I loved picking the color, size and style. I find its important to see some samples in a showroom. This was the brand in my area other than going to an Ethan Allen or the like. I ended up paying 2400. The top is wood so it can scratch although, there is a finish on it. I have a child so will look into a custom pad but any wood top table will scratch. Its a nice solid table. Its not top of the line but for that you'd have to pay much much more money. I am happy that it is real wood, beauitful and not an import. (well, its from Canada but you know what I mean-no asia) good luck Sarah...See MoreAnyone familiar with Canadel custom dining furniture?
Comments (14)I have a round table that sits 4, with 4 plain wood chairs, and they are 13 years old. Similar to what Antmaril posted above, but all one light color not 2-tone. Has held up well, and I have not babied it, but there is a little hole from when my son wanted to drill a hole in a board, and set it on the Canadel table as his work surface. Also a burn from a candle left on the table with no holder underneath it. There's some kind of ink mark too. I look at those marks affectionately as memories of kids now grown and left the nest. I'd recommend the table and chairs, though I only have experience with them and not with other Canadel furniture. My only regret is getting a leaf for the table. Never used it in all these years, and I could have done without the seam in the table....See MoreCanadel Champlain farmhouse table? Anyone?
