Comments (4)thanks... I'll check back with them. Maybe they could order it from your store and shipped to ours. You wouldn't know the model # by any chance? Sorry ... I've been looking online and haven't seen anything less than $15 sqft. This is a great price and could use the extra savings towards the grohe faucet I'm looking at....See More1 inch glass mosaic backsplash?
Comments (6)I'm thinking "otters" was meant to be "outers," as in perimeter. That would mean an island with white cabs and the U-shaped perimeter in dark cabs. The counters will be concrete with a marble look. On the first question of using 1" tiles on all the backsplash of a U-kitchen, I don't think I would. To me it seems like a lot of "noise" on the walls - it might seem claustrophobic. Maybe in a larger format? Here are a couple of greens in a slightly larger format tile. It might be better to break that block of solid color up with something else. One way is to choose a tile that has multiple colors like the ones EAM44 posted, but in your green tones. Another is to use the green as a 3, 4 or 6" strip running through a more neutral tile. Here's one with a double strip: [Contemporary Kitchen design[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/contemporary-kitchen-ideas-phbr1-bp~t_709~s_2103) by Dc Metro Design-build Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. Comments (12)Well outside bids are coming in and wow, what a wake up call! The ceramic we had picked out compared to the glass we picked and wanted to go with price difference was so great we are going to stick to ceramic with glass as an accent. Our shower is 4x5.. 2 walls are 4x8,one is a 4x4 half wall and the back wall is 5x8. Bids on glass with schluter rails were coming in at about the same from 2 different contractors at $8K,compared to ceramic,we had 3 estimates,2 were right at $4K and one from Sears was $8K.No idea what was up with the Sears bid on ceramic! lol These prices are for complete shower, pouring a preslope,Denshield and tiling, prices do not include a glass door,we want to wait til later to see if we will actually need a door. It's a fairly large shower. I started reading differences in tiles and started thinking i would need porcelain but after reading about the differences in ceramic and porcelain,i realized ceramic was fine so long as i read the ratings and understood what they meant. So i got a little knowledge, which is mostly a good thing! So thank you everyone for the input!...See Morevaimeta
