Looking for fabrics for chairs to go with this Persian Rug
Comments (23)Pat, I REALLY LOVE the blue prints! I am a blue gal at heart and they made my heart sing! Thank you all for your help. As for the room we will be buying all new furniture with the exception of the upright piano. It will be center stage, though in order to center it on one wall. I am in my 60's so I do not want anything to harsh on the eyes. We are looking for a comfortable, traditional but leaning more transitional and simple look for the room. So the paint will be chosen after everything else is picked out. The room will be visible at the end of my main entry hall. There will be a french door with an arched transom that leads outside. I believe this is the room that will have a barrel ceiling, but not sure. The rug fits perfectly in the room. We have already figured out which rugs will go where in the house. Unfortunately, our couch will have to go up against the wall in order to balance piano. As the room is fairly narrow. We will be picking out all new furniture with the exception of the rug and the piano. So only need a couple of end tables perhaps and a coffee table and all new lamps. So for all purposes the rug is the first item to design around. This post was edited by zoe52 on Tue, May 6, 14 at 15:42...See MoreColor Chairs to Go With a Black Leather Sofa?
Comments (4)Can't believe it. I Finally found some Palliser color swatches! (not my store but hopefully can get any of these) I would consider leather to match the sofa. In microfiber, I'm drawn to: Grade B Balance Midnight Grade C Graphite Grade C Aberdeen Russet (boldest) Grade C Cranage Shitake Grade C-Otis Black (pattern) Grade F-Allana Bone or Allana Storm (patterns) Of course the beige colors are safe. I'd love some opinions! The sale ends tomorrow. Here is a link that might be useful: Palliser Color Swatches...See MoreDon't love this table, but does it go with the chairs?
Comments (17)Pal-- timeframe is sooner is better than later, but we don't have anything other than a Halloween party coming up, so a folding table with a fun tablecloth will have to do! Budget is $2000 (thanks, MIL!) BUT, I completely cringe at that number. TY for the link-- I didn't know you could mix/match the bases and legs. Very nice. Stinky-- thanks! I am so wary of CL now. I am still shaking my fist at Past Me for missing such a glaring problem. Maybe it was messed up in the transport? Dunno. Thank you for the Macy's link-- very pretty! BWmom-- yes, that is what I will need to do. I just want to be DONE, though. I like decorating but I hate, hate, hate shopping. I have bought too many things in haste, however, just to be done . . .only to regret. RNSusie, I somehow missed in the past that you could actually SEARCH on Furnishly(always see ads on CL). Thank you! Prickly-- that is a pretty table. Thank you! Funky, that is great to know that they do sales. Definitely worth a phone call! Jane, I never would have thought of the banging! I don't really like the table anyway, but that definitely makes me say no to that style. We are pretty short here, but why take a chance? New Bee, I like a round one, but DH thinks they look messy. I think square will seem too big. The dining room is in the center of the house-- you have to walk through it to get just about everywhere, so it's really tricky. We need a table small enough to get by easily but large enough to seat our family of 7 at least every night. (Figure the kitchen will work in the day.) Hilltop-- good to know! I love those chairs too. kswl, good point about covering the table. Will need to do something like that, I think, in the meantime. My husband just sent me a link to Amish Direct. Does anyone have experience with them? I like this table: We can get whatever finish and also leaves, choose diameter, etc. My "dream" table would be one that I don't have to babysit. I would LOVE to have a table that the kids can play games on, we could hang out there together, etc. without having to always have a pad and tablecloth on. I want to eat and drink there! Do I need formica??? Not such a fan of glass with kids. Here is a link that might be useful: Amish Furniture...See Moredoes this furniture go together/compliment each other??
Comments (10)Okay thank you. Appreciate your feed back. The sofa wouldn’t be in the yellow cream color as shown in the picture...we were looking at this color fabric for the sofa. The chair I currently have and the sofa I’m looking at were placed together side by side (in different fabrics than we picked out) in a vignette by Lee industries. The wild card I’m more wondering about is if having two different style chairs would be okay....I read online they should have similar dimension and be of two different materials or patterned fabrics...See MoreRelated Professionals
