You can hear when they're in turn one, accelerating up a hill, rounding the chicane, should be by your position in .... 4 years agoI had solar tubes in a house I lived in before. They are so awesome! One of my daughters didn't realize it... and was looking for a light switch... to turn it off before leaving the house. We still laugh about it. :)

We are new to owning this house. The utilites are almost free due to the one foot thick walls and radiant heat flooring....which extends to the garage as well.
The wood shop/Man Cave above the garage. Also has heated flooring.

4 years agolast modified: 4 years agoSolar panels on our house in Cathedral City. Unfortunately, they were installed on the north side of the house, but they still get some direct sun, even in the winter. In the summer, they get a lot of direct sun, but most people have them on the south side of their roofs.
I went to Arkansas in 1964 on a family trip to visit a cousin, but I do not have any photos from that trip.

4 years agoOur apartment in Thailand required us to insert our key card in this slot to turn on the lights to the premises. When we left the apartment, we took the key card with us and when it was removed from the slot, the lights and the A/C were turned off. The light switches and A/C wouldn't work unless the key was inserted in the slot...with this set up, there is no way to waste electricity by leaving lights and/or the A/C on when tenants aren't home.
There were also many buildings that had escalators that didn't run until someone stepped on them in order to go to another floor. I had not seen this before and thought it a great idea.

The Wawa Goose overlooking the Trans Canada highway welcoming people to the small Northern Ontario town of Wawa. I hear there are stores in the States called Wawa that serves good coffee.
