Country Dancer companion

Hi! I'm going to plant two country dancer roses on the south side of my shed, and am looking for a third but different rose to go in between them. I'd like it to get similar size, or a little bigger since it will be in the middle. Eventually they will get part shade, as there is a baby ivory silk lilac tree which will eventually be bigger just south of the roses. They will still also get west sun, and those trees are pretty small, so I think it'll still get a bit- at least for many years. I'm really hoping for something cane-hardy, or something that grows fast in the spring.

right now, the ones I'm considering are:

Tangerine skies climber- I know it will likely not be cane hardy but I LOVE it, and figure its ok if it doesn't climb.

Quietness

Prairie Harvest

Prairie sunrise

Thoughts? Any other ideas? I've got a Molineux coming from antique rose emporium in spring- this could go there. If its offered at High country roses, that's even better since I bought myself a gift certificate there. Anyone have photos of country dancer and what it's planted with?

No help, but you can still say 'Merry Xmas' as far as I'm concerned. There's one more day until the twelve days are done.

Edit to add: I looked up the map for the Columbus Garden of Roses and they have Prairie Harvest and Prairie Joy planted in the same Earthkind test garden bed with Country Dancer. I don't recall them together, but most of their roses are well-placed.

Additional note: Jeffcat has some pictures of all the above mentioned roses (CD,PH,PJ) on HMF taken at the CGofRoses in 2010! How lucky is that! : )) They are quite a bit larger now, completely filling the beds. I think Prairie Harvest would look really pretty as the buds and developing petals and and red tinge that would pull out the colour of Country Dancer.

This is one of my FAVORITE roses!! Huge blooms. Deep pink in center with just a slight fade to the older petals gives the rose incredible depth. No fragrance but in my yard gets the most attention from visitors. I took a ton of pics yesterday before the rain came. I will be posting these soon. This rose is my boyfriends favorite and he even posed beside of it for one of the pics. :o) Big blooms, no disease (I don't spray), and continuous blooming from spring flush on. What's not to love!! Since your two climbers are already pink I though that either white or purple would form a nice contrast. I looked through High Country roses and came up with Ebb Tide, Gruss an Aachen, Lavender Jewel, Margaret Merrill, Marie Bugnet, Morden Snow Beauty, Mountain Mignonette, Schneezwerg and Wise Portia. I agree..Country DAncer is a fantastic bloomer, very resistant, a good grower and a pretty rose. My EArth Song is a little more bs prone, and not quite as good a bloomer. Mine has sulked after being pruned hard last year. For me Quietness is about the best Buck in terms of plant vigor, health, and bloom production. Also has an intense fragrance but it's variable. Not always there. Pat Henry at RU recommended Simon Estes as being comparable to QUietness in habits but is a deeper pink. I have not found it to be very vigorous yet but we're about 17" below normal in rainfall. Prairie Harvest is bs prone in my yard! Very dissappointing. I find Carefree BEauty to be pretty much continuous and clean. Folksinger is almost continuous, very healthy, and can be beautiful shades of apricot except in the worst heat. It has as good a plant shape as Quietness. Another good bloomer is Polonaise for almost red. Griff's Red is new to me but so far is clean and a good bloomer even as a small plant. I'm told he's very vigorous. Hawkeye Belle is vigorous and a good bloomer, but the blooms are much better in cooler weather. I love the color of Autumn Sunset but mine is too new to say much about. Oh La La Ronda Your Country Dancer is sensational And the color, my, so pretty. I ordered CD from Pickering 2 years ago and after seeing yours I could tell you that my Country Dancer does not look like yours.
