Need Help Choosing Dining Room Chandelier
I just moved into this house in November and I need to replace the dining room chandelier. The house is very open. When you walk in the front door you see the dining area to the left, the living room, and beyond that the kitchen eating area and family room. Here is a photo.
The ceilings are 12 feet, so I need something fairly large. The table is 90 inches by 44 inches.
I am trying to decide between a chandelier with glass shades or one without. Also, I would really like to get away from the darker finish, but with the light walls (Sherwin Williams Creamy), I'm afraid a lighter color fixture wold get lost.

Comments (37)I am going to paint the walls in both rooms Wind’s Breath colour. You’re correct, I bought the painting and rugs at Homesense to match, thinking they were more contemporary. I am an amateur trying to learn. This is why I appreciate everyone’s suggestions so much! I tried to find slip covers for my sofa and loveseat but failed. They were all stretchy spandex-polyester and looked cheap. Any suggestions on where I can buy slipcovers that look like upholstered furniture in Canada? 4 years agoThink the size you have now is sufficient, I do think linear would be better for you rather than tall, it will fill some space and will reflect nicely in the mirror. I would play slightly off the one that is in your kitchen/nook area in the background, and stick to bronze with some crystal would be pretty
