Comments (103)Just perfect Melinda, that apron was meant for you! Couldn't believe I saw you post a pic on FB with that saying and here I had sent the package with that apron. Telepathy or something!!!! The jam I will send to you as an email once I jot it down. This was my first year making it, and it won't be my last. It's been a real winner. I have an insane collection of Santa's. He's the tallest one I have. My granddaughter sometimes calls him her pretend grandpop! I thought he was a beauty when I first laid eyes on him, and lo and behold, after Christmas one year, he was marked down by 50%, so I treated myself. Still more than I would have normally wanted to put out, but I think at that time, I had a bunch of money!!!!! He's a little over 5' tall. Shirley, why not take a different month? And I'll light a fire under Carol's butt....she's just coming back from her grandson's wedding, so it takes her a little time to get back in to the groove. I fell like I have been doing laundry all weekend...two loads to go for the wash and then i'm done for a few weeks or more. Got all the new Christmas clothes down for everyone, and everybody gets new sheets and stuff, aside from the regular dirty stuff, and i'm pooped. kitchen is clean, dog is bathed, i'm halfway there with my contribution for new years. this coming week i'll tackle my granddaughter's room...best to do that when she's at school. then it's time for the basement which I dread, but it needs to be organized, once again Well, hope everyone has a great New year celebration. We are heading up the mountains, probably the last time until the spring. We'll spend it with some dear friends - no muss, fuss or drama, just good laughs and memories. dreary day today ~~ cold and rainy...bone cold YUCK! stay well, stay warm, maryanne...See Morenew: obf *january* new year's hopes & dreams
Comments (99)Happy Tuesday! Margaret, I'm so glad it made it to you. I was a little worried that the chocolate would be smooshed by the time you opened it. But, even smooshed chocolate is yummy! :) And I thought the Groumms were so cute. I bought some for you and me and for another swap, lol! I also received my Hopes and Dreams today from Shirley!! In my awesome box were 3 of the CUTEST!!! turtles you ever did see. I'm pretty sure they are not going to make it outside, they are already sitting in my bay window...looking perfect! :) A recipe for Cinnamon Roll CAKE! DROOL! I love cinnamon buns, and this cake recipe is right up my alley. The only problem is I'm going to wait till Saturday to make, if I can wait that long, lol! And not to mention all the wonderful seeds! Jobs Tears Columbine: Rocky Mountain Columbine: Yellow Queen Tomato: Dolly Parton (I really need to grow these! The name is too cute! ) Yellow Hollyhocks Kiss Me Over the Garden Gate (I grew this last year and it flowered right up till frost, so I got no seeds. THANK YOU!) Cabbage: Golden Acres Tomato: Cherokee Purple Blackberry Lily Shirley, thank you so much for such a thoughtful package. I really need to go and update my want list. Shirley just filled a bunch of them! :) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Bunny, hope your feeling better! I have had an on again off again ear/sinus infection for the past 3 months. I think it has a lot to do with the crazy weather we have been having. I'm so sick of antibiotics, especially the ones I've been on. They make your mouth taste awful! It last for more than 5-10 minutes after you take the darn things...GROSS! Talk to you later! vina...See MoreOBF December Swap: New Calendar Year 2017
Comments (83)Hello everyone, I did receive my calendar on Saturday but I did not find it until Sunday. The mailman left it halfway on the porch. In doing so it got covered with a couple inches of snow. I only found it by accident. The box was soaked but not the contents. Everything inside was dry. Then off to work I go. I did not really had a good chance to look at it until I got off work this morning. I love the calendar along with a notepad, 2 post it pads, a pair of gloves and some Fried Egg gummies and a lollipop. Thank you so much Shirley. I loved all of it and I am sorry about posting so late. Thanks, Faye!...See MoreOBF April 2020 Swap……Roll Call
Comments (77)Shirley, do you dig a bunch of plants and sell them bare root or do you repot before taking to the market? Seems like a lot of work either way. It was a beautiful day here too but I didn't do anything in my yard. Went to the park instead and enjoyed their wildflowers. Nikki, I'd love to see some pictures of your surrounding desert flowers. I watch the home remodeling shows in California more for the scenery than the remodeling. I love checking out all the beautiful flowers. Texas has a lot of cactus and I used to not like anything that even resembled cactus. Now I like them and even have a few. I've created a bed out front with Agave and Texas Red Yucca. The Texas Red Yucca is on the left side and in front of the salvia is Fall aster. I'm trying to control the size of the agave by keeping it in a pot. (I know, not real cactus lol)...See Moresmitties
