Need help with coordinating paint colors for Two Tone Kitchen Cabinets
Comments (5)Do the island in "Repose" : ) The finish will be different than the rest of the house wall color. Or go peppercorn and darker. Otherwise? II think very pale grayed greens can be a bit dangerous. ....: ) I think your wall color repeated on an island in satin finish? Also very nice....See MoreWill I regret two tone white & walnut kitchen cabinets?
Comments (14)Hi edelweiss- I am not sure how the wood lowers and white uppers will look to you 10 years down the line when it isn't so in style. Have you thought about doing all the uppers and lowers the same wood, with maybe two uppers glass? You could frost the glass or even just put an inexpensive peel-on film over the glass if you don't want the contents easily visualized. Then you could paint the island whatever color you want. Either white, or even that red that you like. With two different color cabinetry, (on the periphery and the island) I would not have a different type of counter top on the island, unless it were to be butcher block. I would also not get a red range top. Your tastes may change and a range top is very expensive to replace. Or you may need replacement parts, and red may not be available. Or you may sell, and red is very taste specific, and that may be a deal breaker....See MoreTwo-tone wood dilemma (kitchen & main), painting suggestions please.
Comments (2)The light trim all over on the doors etc, doesnt bother me at all. However, that light piece on top of the cabinets, would drive me nuts. I would replace that with cherry. Leave the rest until you have lived in the house for a while. Once you paint it, it will be paint and touch ups forever, so best to make darn sure, thats exactly what you want....See MoreTwo tone kitchen cabinet dilemma
Comments (1)If you end up painting you should do the appliance panels depending on where it is. Meaning if the dishwasher is lower level (obviously lol) do wood. Because the lowers will be wood. Fridge should be wood. Vent hood should be white. Etc. I would stain the cabinets the same as the floor if you can. Very pretty flooring. Love the color....See MoreMichelle NJ
