Yeah, sizes in stock are limited almost everywhere! I looked at LLBean first-- but since he's a half size and I will need to either size up or down, I was hoping for something that had a store near him just in case he needed to exchange.

I really like the sorel falcon ridge-- especially the clog style (but he'll want the loafer). I especially like the quarry color.

DS wears the LL Bean wicked good slipper and I love the woman's version. The fleece doesn't make my foot hot or sweaty.

Maire-cate, that's the bean slipper I was looking at. Do you have any issue with the tie staying done? How does the sizing run? He's a 10 1/2 -- if I go with them, should I size up or down?

I am still leaning towards these ugg slippers-- I don't actually like ugg myself so that's the only thing holding me back. My sister's whole family wears them though and this style has really held up well for the men.

ETA ,.. I just bought myself a pair of Patricia Green sheepskin slippers. I am finding the same thing-- my feet are not getting hot or sweaty! It's what has me looking at sheepskin for him too.

The ties stay tied - I haven't had to retie them since I bought them in May, 2018. I checked my order history and it shows that I ordered an 8 and a 9 - I wear an 8 1/2 - I kept the 8 and it fits well.

Can't speak for Men's styles, but, I LIVE in my Minnetonka slippers! I have an old pair that I have had for probably 8 years of constant wear. I have a new pair also. I wear the old ones if I have on thick socks because they are all stretched out. Mine are fur lined and suede on the outside.

I have a few pairs of Minnetonka mocs. I was hoping that tying technique would have a better finished look.

My husband loves the moccasin style and buys them at Costco for 10.00/pr....low maintenance. LOL But he wears them constantly even to the store or to run errands because they don’t necessarily look like slippers.

He’s very sensitive to cold though too and so he has a pair of down slippers as well that he uses in the house during the winter.

Correction....DH told me the slippers he gets are just the Dearforms and they’re more like 20.00 @ Costco.

The more I wear my new shearling slippers, the more I was certain that's what I wanted to give as a gift.. but I've been having a bear of a time finding one I can have delivered in time. Of course, the longer I try to find one to be delivered on time, the longer the delay.

I liked the LLBean -- but it will be a 2 week delay for the size/color combination. I have decided not to go with the Minnetonka as there are a lot of quality complaints since manufacturing has been moved to China. I am pretty sure I am going with the uggs-- which will still arrive this week but after Hanukkah (which is a given at this point!)

Eddie Bauer just emailed me that my slippers are unavailable. Yesterday the site said there were 2 pair left when I placed the order and it still says 1 pair available. Now that I think about it, I had major sizing issues last year when I bought a couple belts from them. And there have been other issues. I need to stop looking at their site.

Visited LLBean and order a pair of moc slippers. They won't be shipped for a couple weeks, but that's no big deal. Last 2 pair of shoes I bought for dh were from LL Bean and he loves them! Hopefully, the slippers will be the same.
