mamap, I can't remember which thread you were advising me to order Tide AF powder (I have the liquid), but I took advantage of the Amazon coupon and bought a box. I think you are right about saving it for sheets. The liquid leaves a moderate scent even after a second rinse, but the sheets are soft... I did use STPP, so maybe I need to decrease the amount of detergent I use (I use about 1.25 oz. on a standard large load). I don't remember the smell of the original Tide and AF anymore, but the new scent is pleasant and reminds me of the fresh smells of 1980's detergents. Thanks for the heads-up.

Others should weigh in who have a better sense of rental property. I liked the idea of building in the fridge with a microwave base cab under the window and room for a small 30"x30" table below/between the Windows. If good tenants in your area expect more room than a table for two in the kitchen that changes things, I guess, but you have a dining room right next door. Can you easily widen the doorway between the kitchen and dining room so the two spaces feel more like one?
