Coq au Vin question

I've made Coq au Vin a lot over the years and it's always delicious. My sister is hosting Christmas Eve dinner and she has decided to make Coq ua Vin, and she has asked me for my receipe which I gave her. The question I have has to do with cooking it the day ahead. I have always cooked it and served it on the same day. She wants to cook it, put it in the fridge and then re-heat it on the day. I've never done that. We do usually have left-overs and we do eat them, for lunch and such, but I can tell that the fresh served meal is much better. I know that a lot of meals are actually better if you serve them the next day, but is Coq au Vin one of them? My sister lives about 2 miles from me, so I could actually go over there and cook it for/with her on the day while she does sides and such.
