Yippee! Mariann, I am so happy to hear that you are going to Well-Sweep. Their catalog had lots of stuff I'd like to try - especially the scented geraniums. I'd love to get some of those for my sis. I really hope you enjoy your trip and get some great plants. You deserve it!!! Although the debris in my yard is slowly but surely decreasing, the heat has been unbelievable. When sis got sick and the trees fell, I just didn't have the heart to get into the gardens. I was so sad to see my babies under all that stuff. Thinking about my sis, I just couldn't bear to go out and look at struggling plants. But lately, I've been peeking around a bit. I'm amazed that some flowers are still going strong, and others are recovering on their own. My Ruds are gorgeous as are the zinnias. I have two kinds of JMG that amaze me each time I go see them. I have variagated KMOGG that I wintersowed that is absolutely beautiful! I wish I had sown more. I must figure out how to harvest the seeds. I've harvested some seeds from a yellow 4 Oclock and a broken one too. I also have a vine white lady that is right at the gate that I love to see when I enter each day. Other things blooming away are several types of amaranthus, cosmos, and dahlias. I guess God's been out there doing the gardening for me. Isn't that wonderful?!?! I am looking forward to the fall when I hope to rebuild some beds and get my hands in the dirt again. So, what's blooming for yall? Thanks everyone. DH actually picked the granite but only with the promise of under cabinet lighting, which I LOVE. He worked really hard getting it wired just the way I wanted it. I can't really take all the credit for the tile choices. I took a piece of the granite, a cabinet door and an idea to DalTile in town and the lady who works the showroom, along with a interior decorator who happend in helped a lot. I knew I wanted to down play the green coloring in the verde butterfly and up play the golds in it so she help pick that, but she thought we should use a long accent piece. We picked the flooring based on something netural, but would go well with the cabinets and not compete with the granite. We decided on the floral dots to help bring a bit of dark to the floor. As the process went a long, the accent piece for the backsplash got changed because of budgeting. It was about $20.00 per 5x12 piece ... a little too much for me. The dots were a little cheaper and helped coordinate the floor and backsplash a little more. The whole process was fun in a stressful sort of way. The part I stressed about the most was picking the granite, since it's such a focus point and I knew we would be living with it for a long time. DH walked in the granite warehouse and narrowed it down within 30 min. The Verde Butterfly and a Uba Tuba. I really wanted something that wasn't used a lot, but they just happen to look best with the cabinets and DH didn't want a lot of movement, so Verde Butterfly was the perfect compromise. I will miss this process thats been a huge part of my life for the past 3 1/2 months. While doing this kitchen remodel, we decided to update our hall bathroom also and paint our master bedroom. Next is to finish our partial finished basement and eventually work on our master bath, which may entail tearing out a bath/shower insert and replacing with just a tiled shower ..... not sure about that whole job yet! I guess it's time to move on to other forums!! (nahhh, not yet - :)!) Christy

Wow, the candlelight cabinetry is gorgeous. Truly a perfect combination with the TB for the island and the brown for the permeter. Truly a work of art. My favorite piece in your kitchen (and this is so difficult to choose) is the hutch. Your cabinet maker or woodworker has amazing talent. ~boxer
