We are building a new house and I have dark oak cabinets. I had a different granite in mind, then switched to Diamond Arrow because mine seemed too dark,and DA had a lot more light elements in it. I really wanted some blue in my kitchen, and had chosen some gorgeous backsplash tiles from Euro Ceramic, the Peacock series. These tiles are long and thin, and remind me of glazed pottery. I chose the Blue Marine tiles, but the other colors would look great with Diamond Arrow as well. Your kitchen is looking beautiful.

If you can post some pictures of your finishes and samples of the ones you are considering, that will help people make suggestions. It sounds like the creamy tile would work fine but I don't know what the others look like.

Regarding the Ubatuba: I think it gets a bad rap as being basic, but, it’s really very beautiful and very versatile. If you do a search on Houzz for "cherry cabinets dark countertops" many examples pop up. Create a "Kitchen Wood Cabinets" Ideabook with those features to get ideas about lighting, possibly changing out one or two cabinet fronts with glass ones, new countertops. Many pros on Houzz recommend living in a new house for a year before making major changes. Maybe by then the mania for all white kitchens will die down and you'll put your household budget to uses other than a major renovation. You have a very nice kitchen already.
