mixing and matching colors or wood

I have natural variated maple floors with American Walnut cabinets. I have fir interior doors and fir railings/posts. Should I chose a coloured stain or just clear coat these? And should they be the same? I was going to stain my maple mantle a walnut color to balance the living room to the kitchen cabinets. Thoughts?

You can see the color of what the kitchen cabinets will be in the very top uppers

Yes - there will be a big rug. It’s coming this week so I plan to see how it looks once in there and will post a picture. Again, I don’t mind an eclectic look but want it to still go mix well and I’m also leaning towards the nightstands being too yellow.

Maple or walnut always play wonderfully with cherry. Once you start staining though all bets are off. But with all those knots the beams sure don't look like cherry to me. They appear to be some kind of pine/fir.

I like wood to look natural so my vote is clear. thats how I did all my wood, cabinets, floor, mantel etc.
