How large are your drawers? From what I understand, if your drawer is larger than 24" you can use two knobs, one on each side of the drawer. So, if you use two knobs, you should go with the smaller knob and then you could use the same knob on both drawers and doors. In my kitchen I used pulls on my lower drawers and doors and knobs on my upper cupboards. And on my refrigerator, I used larger pulls than on my cupboards. You have many options. However, to answer your question, I would use the same size knobs throughout.

Ok, I found some more choices. I could change the color of what I have but it's not really the color that bothers me--it's more of the fussiness. My experience with using 2 pulls on a wide drawer has not been good. So for this kitchen I will only be using 1 pull per drawer. When you have 2 pulls on a drawer, it takes two hands and often you already have something in one hand. Or, if you just use one of the 2 pulls to open the drawer, it creates stress to the drawer on one side, and also the pull will loosen over time from being asked to pull the entire drawer open from one side. As a result, I am using 1 pull for my drawers. I am using different sizes. Just my taste, but I don't like all one pull size for the entire kitchen. I have read about the 1/3 rule, and the pulls I am choosing, the Top Knobs Princetonians, have many sizes. When deciding between two sizes that both fit roughly the 1/3 rule, I get the smaller one. The wider pulls are expensive, but as a percentage of the cost of my entire reno which is multi-thousands, I am spending about $450 for my pulls. The majority of mine are the 11-11/32" size which are about $13 each. I am getting 4 different sizes in all (includes 2 pulls that are 15" long hung vertically for pull-out pantries). I don't think it's that bad to spend a couple hundred more to get the size that looks good. The pulls really make a difference to how the entire kitchen looks.

Seems to me the objections to having two pulls on kitchen cabinets is more a traditional situation than functional one. Remember, many bedroom dressers have double handles(yes, I am aware the drawers are also wider) and are considered normal. Some of the objections also may have to do with how the person is working, often having something in one hand when opening a drawer for a pot/pan/skillet/etc. One example of this is the French door refrigerator. Transitioning from a single door(conventional or side by side) means changing the way the fridge is opened with something in a hand. Another situation is the way the drawers are built and how the glides are installed. Many newer drawers are not built as sturdily as they used to be and will rack more easily. Drawers with through dovetail construction are much more sturdy than half lap or similar style corner joints, which rely on glue and mechanical fasteners to make the joint. By the same measure, many glides are easier and smoother operating than older types. For myself, I'd rather have two pulls on a wide drawer then one big one. Esthetics.
