Need Opinions on Half Bath Finishes
Comments (5)I think you're on the right track. I'd forgo chair rail and do wallpaper floor to ceiling. IMHO, a powder room/half bath can be considered a little jewel box....See MoreMirror & backsplash advice for renovated half-bath please!
Comments (12)Thanks so much for all the comments and advice! So incredibly helpful. I do really appreciate you all taking the time to comment. And I hear those who say I don’t need a backsplash but I think I prefer one. Plus our wall isn’t completely straight so think we need one (granite doesn’t look perfectly straight where it meets the wall). In hindsight, i probably should have just gotten one made with the granite. Oh well! We have 2 more bathrooms I’m learning for ;) BeverlyFLADeziner- great suggestion re: artwork. I totally agree now that I look at it yet couldn’t pinpoint the issue! I will work on that and relocate my photo. I also planned to put something above the toilet..maybe a shelf? Thoughts? Patricia Colwell Consulting- yes, the toilet paper is in a odd spot! but we had to put it there, unfortunately due to the toilet being too close to the wall. And we just didn’t want to move it (we’re on a slab). But we can reach it perfectly! Mayflowers- maybe a grey/taupe tile? And I love the idea of a hex mirror... in fact, I’ve been looking for one but haven’t found one that’s the right size yet. Thanks for noticing the hex floor tile. I love it. Designer Drains- great! what backsplash would you recommend? Thanks again for all the comments and advice. Really helpful! I’m thinking either a mother of pearl or grey/taupe tile backsplash (which would pick up that color from the granite and floor). Either preference? And if I go with the grey, could I get a mother of pearl framed mirror? I’m at the coast and love the coastal look of it. Thanks!!!...See MoreWhat color mirror frame for our half bath?
Comments (5)I agree, simple. Played a little with a very crude rendering of color and shape. Simple rectangle is the best IMO. If you want some color, add some bright hand towels. Oval burnt orange Rectangular red ORB rectangle...See More40s Half Bath - Paint color advice
Comments (2)I would pick up on the green in the tile and paint the walls a muted green. Otherwise look for a whimsical black and white wallpaper....See Morecalidesign
