Should I carve up a huge family room to add a small bedroom?

Our 3bd house has a small living room in the front (about 10x15), and an enormous family room in the back (about 20x24). It's really excessively large. We're considering doing an interior remodel to carve up the family room into a small bedroom (about 10x10) and a normal-sized family room (about 20 x 14). I think this makes sense for our use of the house, but I'm wondering about it from an investment perspective. Would you expect this to add a decent amount of value to a house?
