Happy St. Nicholas Day!!!!

We had Labradors for decades. I love the breed. We called ours Lap-radors cause they liked to slowly sneak onto your lap. One was called a Blab-rador. She sort of spoke.

We did have our annual visit from St. Nicholas in our town last night. He comes through the town in a horse drawn carriage followed by a wagon of singers and a small band, pulled by a team of horses. This year we had a new tradition. Many homes took advantage of an event set up by the middle school PTO. They offered luminaries for sale as a fund raiser and lots of people loved the idea. I ordered mine and since last night I was working at the Farmers Market, I asked my neighbor to prepare my lights and they did a great job! It was magical coming home, in the dark and seeing all the lights lining the streets!!

In 1999, my DM had the beaver coat that was her mother's made into four teddy bears. Each of us four kids received one. Mine is called Pete after her Dad. No faux fur here.
