What color will your bed covering be?

We were thinking of going all white for the bedding and also purchased a light gray 8X10 rug for under the bed.

Move the end tables in front of the windows. You will need that space for draperies and I would use the tone in the lamps for color choice. As for the gray rug, work gray into the bedding.

You don't need an accent wall, you just need some contrast. The lamps aren't doing the room any favors, as both the base and the shade contribute to the beige overload effect. Bright white shades would help, as long as you pick up the white elsewhere.

A white/beige design, can be VERY successful! Take a look below. If you do a light bed coverings and add pops of color with accent pillows and other accents throughout the room, you can easily change the complete look very easily and inexpensively.

I like beige as a background, but rather than paint a feature wall I'd be putting in colorful bedding, rugs and lots of art.

You have gotten great ideas! Start by replacing the black shades with white ones.

I’d replace the black shades with drapes.

I agree with oaktonmom, replace the apartment blinds with some drapes that will create height in the room and let natural light in.

Awesome! Going to start changing small stuff. Looking into some white drapes. The lamps were way to expensive to resell and can’t return them so I’m thinking of changing the lamp shade to white. After that I’d have to figure out how to add color accessories into the room. The walls are textured so I’m not sure how wallpaper would work but it’s a nice idea also!
