Wedding shoe opinions, please
Comments (82)I agree with the others, your 'unmadeup' face is quite stunning! Similar to the pic of Bobbi Brown, I'd go for a very light makeup job, just to enhance your natural beauty. You have beautiful eyes, so I'd just add some mascara to really show them off. A light touch of foundation could blend any different tones in your skin, and a hint of colour on your cheeks. Your lips are a nice colour, so you could decide to go bare or wear something similar to Bobbi's shade, in the photo. As far as the shoes, they are really pretty, but I do have one question. Have you ever worn that style before, where the outside length of the shoe is closed, but the inner side is open? That's exactly the style I wore 35 years ago when I married, and they really hurt my feet after a short while. Years later I bought another pair of dress shoes in that style, and experienced the same thing. I don't know what it was, but that style shoe is the only kind I've ever worn, that isn't comfortable on me. If you've worn that kind before, then I'm sure those will also be fine! But if you haven't, perhaps you could go to store, try on something similar and walk around in them, just to make sure you find them comfortable. Good luck, (LOVE your dress, btw) you're going to be a gorgeous bride!...See MoreNeed new siding ideas and colors as I tear off the 60s vinyl siding

Comments (16)Hello, again. Had to shift my attention to other matters for a bit, but my husband did manage to make scale drawings of the space. I have conceded to continue the Karndean French Oak through the bathroom and kitchen (it has been ordered), but I am quite intrigued by Spicher and Co Vintage floorcloths. Anybody have first-hand experience with this product?? Additionally, I had the opportunity to go exploring in a local warehouse to search for vintage tile and found a couple of tiles that I adore! There is a limited supply, but I hope to come up with a design that will incorporate these accent tiles and fill in with some sort of white-ish tile. I have attached a pic taken at the warehouse (long strip is the countertop) as well as a couple in the bathroom with the vanity mirror and other materials we have selected (third pic is for scale). Fwiw, I am not asking whether you do or don't like the blue tiles–they are exactly what I had hoped to find–but I would appreciate input regarding what shape/size of white-ish tile might look best to complement the decorative blues. I am told the installer will likely have some great suggestions, but have yet to speak with him about it. We located 50 of the larger white tile with the blue corners and 60 of the blue flower tile. We still haven't selected tub/shower and sink plumbing fixtures. I have seen a few tub/shower extenders (with exposed pipes) in finishes that would look good at reasonable prices, but am leery of choosing one that will lead to problems down the road. Any suggestions are most appreciated! I think we are slowly making progress....See MoreMid Century Modern Kitchen - need help with cabinet hardware! please
Comments (7)That pull is not MCM. If it appeals to you, that is fine, but you need to decide if you really want MCM hardware in that case. Here is a pic of Rejuvenation's Boomerang Drawer Pull and Peg knob. True MCM design. They are offered in aged brass, polished chrome and ORB. I think polished chrome is most true to MCM. In any case, you should consider combining knobs and pulls on your cabinetry. You could do pulls for drawers and knobs for doors, or do uppers in knobs and lowers in pulls. Edited to add: on another note, your hood needs to be 6" wider than your cooktop. Also make sure it is deep enough front-to-back. Typically plaster hoods are not deep enough, which means that your cooking smoke/grease from the front burners lands on the front of the hood rather than up the exhaust....See More4kids4us
