He Says He Doesn't Love Me Anymore
Comments (1)Sounds familiar. :( Minus the other woman though. He says that it's him but it doesn't understand what's wrong....he's depressed. An early sign of a mid life crisis. Believe me my ex did basically the same thing and after a few months of being on his own he started realizing what he had and had given up. I didn't fight for him and I do regret that now because I did really love him. It's too late for us. I can't live my life wondering every day "is this the day that he tells me again that he doesn't love me anymore". If you love him then fight for him. Give him a book about mid life crisis, especially one that details the depression and "lost" feel. My ex husband actually called several times to tell me about how he took all my good qualities for granted....at the time those same qualities were what made me "boring". He probably will completely dismiss the idea of a mid life crisis but that is exactly what he's going thru. Good luck!...See MoreFound a painter I liked but now my flooring guy says he can paint
Comments (18)I decided to paint some old boards over old colors that are light and neutral with the Aura Satin paint I have here in the quart and the BM Regal Pearl Finish paint in the SW Antique White color (not for the color but for the finish/shine). I really like painting with the Pearl Finish paint and the VOC count and drying time is so much less than the old formula. I know I will not be doing the painting but it is such a nice paint and really covers well. The Aura Paint I can not paint well with and I know a painter would have to be very skilled to paint with it. I will see how I feel when both boards dry but so far my feeling is that despite wanting to go lower VOC, I may just stay with the BM Regal Paint in the Pearl Finish since it is so nice and rich on the walls without too much of a shine. The Satin is definitely shinier than the Pearl. I do not like Eggshell or flat paint so I have decided to not try out the Aura Eggshell finish. I am going to have to air out the room due to my preference for finish over VOC count. If I would like an eggshell finish, I would go with the Natura....See MoreHe says-she says on paint color for cream kitchen cabinets..help!
Comments (6)That's a tough call - I think both those colors will go very nicely with creamy cabinets. I'm doing cream cabinets with a green close to the color you are showing & my dining room is very similar to that yellow. BUT , my kitchen & dining room are each their own distinct rooms. I think if it was all open, I would have continued the yellow into the kitchen. So I guess my vote would depend on your layout....See MoreCabinet maker says he can't make curved cornices
Comments (5)can't he buy precut pieces? And simply stain them to match? Ask him to show you what sorts of precut pieces he could have access to, and see if there's anything there that will give you something similar to what you like. Maybe there's a custom millwork place he could turn to for just that piece? like this custom place or two? If it's going to add a lot to the cost (though these guys say "no matter what your budget"--though I see they show only doorways), you could decide only to have one, or something. Search on "curved" and "millwork" Here's another one: http://www.elipticon.com/ These guys look like they have a helpful and persuasive website. http://www.americantrimandwindow.com/ Then your cabinet guy could do the box, and apply the cornice. (of course, I don't know if it's hard to do a curved top of the cabinet, but he could do it w/ a slightly octagonal treatment, and have the curve be on the door and on the cornice. Here is a link that might be useful: some place like this?...See Moreglenda_al
