Mixing metals

What's your opinion on mixing finishes? I'm going with oil-rubbed bronze faucet and light fixture in the bathroom (no link to show - local family shop), but trying to decide between antique copper and oil-rubbed bronze switchplates. The ORB plates are so...blah, but wow the copper plates are gorgeous! I ordered these in both colors and can't decide which to keep and which to send back. I'm leaning toward keeping the copper plates because I figured hey they're all in the same color family so I might as well go with what I really like. Or is mixing metal finishes a no-no nowadays?

momof4 - I'd stick with polished chrome for the faucet. The mirror is very pretty! My bathroom has mixed metals.

Just do the chrome overflow and pretend it's not there. Brass everything (except that). Or chrome everything. But not chrome tub with brass sink/shower.
