Comments (5)Promise you won't look at my mess? I cropped some of it out lol. Sigh. I wasn't going to do any more on this today but got to checking, and see I have this. Do you think I could make it to work? I can't think of what to use but could make a platform with holes fitted down in on that "shelf", be a little tricky to get it to fit just right. I'd prefer something I could cut with my hot knife, worst case scenario a coping saw, but can't think of what. Plexiglass is not opaque and probably hard to cut. Masonite shower lining warps w/moisture and is hard to cut. I probably could make a pattern with cardboard. Whatever it is, I could get the hardware store to do it for me but with all those curves, they might charge a lot. But with the raised lid and having the platform set down it, it should give pretty good headroom. I couldn't use as much water as you; maybe it wouldn't matter so long as I'd keep the level up. Any ideas, some kind of rigid, opaque plastic readily available, preferably not online?...See MoreQuestion for Token
Comments (2)I got them from three people here at GW in trades. One person only wanted cosmos in exchange. Imagine that. I have TONS of cosmos. Believe me, I'll be saving seeds. I had blooms and seeds from the red ones this year, so I should have the white ones in the fall. Beautiful aren't they?...See MoreToken--Kinda off topic
Comments (1)I told you in your thread that I've got seedlings. Just three of them so far. I had a couple others, but the cold got them just before winter turned into summer. I've got Korean Goatsbeard too, and some red spider lilies I'm going to dig for you when the seeds on these are ripe. It should be some time in late July. That's when I collected seeds from my wintersown red ones last year. I really do hope these are the right color. I'd hate to have more red ones and have yet another woman disappointed with me. ;)...See MoreYvonne's Salvia question for Token/Tom
Comments (12)I wintersow and allow reseeds to grow and transplant them where I want them. You just have to wait until most of the frost has passed to wintersow them. And mulch around where the plants were to get reseeds. They don't like cold at all. And not all the seeds ripen. I probably sowed 50+ seeds, I got 30 plants. I sowed twice since the first batch was hit by some cold and just never took off. My latest batch has been repotted to give them time to grow since the slugs seem to love them....See Morebpath
