Thank you pal for those suggestions. They are both gorgeous. The chandy is polished nickel so we don't need chrome. I will try to find some less expensive versions of the ones you posted --- or wait for a very good sale. We are going to ask the electrician to leave us extra wire so we can adjust the height. We moved the box down to 7 feet 6 inches, but it can go even lower with the extra wire (or higher). It all depends on what we can find. Carol

I have a Tech Lighting Lufe 48" fixture that emits 3444 lumens. The Lufe is so bright at full power that you could shoot a movie. Your light emits only about 10% less. I am certain that you do not need any additional lighting. Be sure that the Radiance light is dimmable and install a compatible dimmer for it.

It's not a grow light, I don't know who could possibly afford an actual grow light they're like 30 dollars for a 2 ft light. It's just am extra bright led shop light. Anyway yeah I think I'll just keep an eye on temp and soil and such. It doesn't generate much heat so I don't think it'll scorch anything. I don't think I started too early unless I miscalculated. Tomatoes and other long season things a re usually 8-10 weeks before last frost date right? I think I planted last week of March so around 9 weeks. But we definitely should've held off on the raspberries! I do grow a lot of tomatoes because I can a whole years worth of tomato products for a family of 3. That's a couple quarts of tomato sauce per week plus you need a TON of tomatoes to make paste. I also plan on sharing with family and friends who don't know how to start seeds. But I still may end up culling weaker seedlings lol I did go a touch overboard.
