Lars, that kind of looks like a chameleon. We got two of them at the circus when I was a kid. So cool to watch them change colors depending on what they were sitting on. They eventually escaped into the house, never to be seen again. :)

Squirrels have been busy getting these nuts of the tree and breaking them open. I assumed they are walnuts but now I'm not sure. I brought these home to put on my balcony for my squirrels.

There are flocks of wild peacocks in our city. Wish this wasn't so blurry, but it was taken from my car window on a back street, on my way to work. Also saw a mother hen with babies a couple of days later - they've been busy 😃 There are actually peacock crossing signs on the main thoroughfare as well. They just stroll across the street with little regard for traffic.

It’s a sad story. No, not my son’s son. My daughter’s son. She was not married to her son’s father. When she learned that she was pregnant, he ended the relationship. He had nothing to do with my grandson (except provide child support) until he was about 6 years old and then only sporadically visited or took him anywhere. Then, when Elijah was about 14 years old, “Dad” decided he would be a real father. Too little, too late. They never developed the wonderful relationship they could have had. But they did spend more time together. Elijah is a sweet young man and I am very proud of him.
