Refrigerator: 36 inch, counter depth, energy star rated
Comments (10)We just purchased a KitchenAid counter depth french door model with bottom freezer and water dispenser inside the refrigerator. This model is slightly taller than others and offers more space in the fridge and freezer. It is engery star rated with an annual estimated energy cost of $41. Very good for this size unit. The model numbers in this series start with KFC and is one of Kitchenaid's newest and most energy efficient models. We like it....See MoreAre there any Counter- Depth Refrigerators between 36" -39" wide?
Comments (4)Thanks so much for the feedback both of you!Well, I guess I feel better knowing that 39" is now becoming standard for ref. spaces and really isn't wasted. We replaced our cabinets about 10 years ago--and the whole reason we did it then was because we needed a new refrigerator and wanted one of those new, "cool", side-by-side refrigerators that needed 36" clear, and our original layout only had a 33" space for the ref! (Of course, I was thrilled to have an excuse to justify replacing the ugly almond-colored formica cabinets!) So, when we planned the new layout, I wanted to make sure that we left extra room for the ref, just in case, in the future standards for family-sized refrigerators got even bigger! Then, later I always had kind of regretted giving up that extra 3" for a ref. instead of cabinets! That was so nice of you, Breezygirl, for looking up ref. widths on ajmadison for me! Do they allow you to limit searches by width? I tried looking on a few web sites, but I thought it would take me all day to click on ezch one and look up the specs for the width. Now I know, I won't waste my time looking for anything wider than 36"!...See MoreRecommendations for Counter Depth 36” Refrigerator
Comments (27)Just got our KA delivered, it is replacing our older single door KA. My main motivation for this model (to improve upon what we had) was the freezer compartment that has the thin middle shelf, and the ice bin on it owns rails. I also had issues with our top drawer dragging on items from our lower drawer which would shake the bin causing cubes to fall out of the bin. I hope this design works better, it seems to operating much better with it having it's own rails....See More33 inch counter depth fridge in a 36 inch Ikea cabinet
Comments (2)Counter depth will stick out around 6” from the surround. You may need an actual built in. And you need a 30” cabinet with fillers. Or to use a cabinet line that has 33” cabinets. Like pretty much the whole world of cabinetry outside of IKEA and cheepchinesecrapola....See MoreSammy
