Just purchased this home, paint colour ideas welcome.

This new to us, home was built in 1985. It Is cedar siding, and the metal roof is an odd colour And it is staying. Does anyone have any suggestions as to colours that will co ordinate with the roof and update the home. I am open to anything. Landscaping will be done as well. All ideas and suggestions welcome. Thank you so much.
PS what style, if any is this.

Comments (1)I'm not familiar with BM, but SW Misty is a lovely silvery blue, most silver with just a hint of blue. The next darker color, Samovar Silver is also nice. If you want a bit more blue, SW Krypton is very nice for a bedroom color. We have Krypton in our bedroom and I love it. Comments (9)Make the garage door the same color as the brick. It is the wall, not a focal point. If you put up cedar, please stain it either redwood(which does fade)or maybe a walnut or pecan stain. If you do that, than you can paint your front door or you can stain it to match the siding, and add some really nice hardware and a brass or stainless steel kickplate and update your exterior porch light and garage sconces to a style you like that is complimentary. If you paint the front door, than use a slightly lighter shade on the eaves probably so you don't give your home heavy eyebrows? Think slightly lighter tones since your brick is so pretty. The cedar idea is very pretty. Just wonder if making the eaves or overhang dark is the best option or if you would tire of it quicker. ?? Comments (1)Taupe, Gray and Sage colors go well with your brick tone. for the exterior. For the tall fireplace room, I would leave the brick, and maybe white wash it, I would also open up the catwalk area and put in railing, (classic mcm) I would do a whole wall of sliders that open rather than sky lights, and add more recessed For the railing I would do open treads, metal spindles and wood hand rails. ....See MoreHelp! Comments (11)I agree for the most part Sushupup. We want to do the floors before we move in though since thatll be easier with out all the furniture. everything else we plan on waiting a little while. The house is definitely livable the way it is, we're only doing cosmetic upgrades. I was just trying to have a general idea of what I wanted to do. I'm the kind of person that likes a good plan lol. 4 years agolast modified: 4 years agoI wouldn’t touch the siding. I would address the windows and trim by outlining both with darker color….of course, landscaping. Fab house. Love!
