Before you make all these decisions, I suggest you reconsider your floor choice. That stripey appearance is going to govern all the other choices in the rooms that the flooring is in, and both the stripeyness and its gray color will make those choices difficult. There are other vinyl plank flooring choices that are not stripey and have a more natural wood appearance.

I agree, although I have something similar in my Florida home, it’s more taupe than gray.

You shouldn’t make decisions in a vacuum. Each one will then determine your next choice.

What is your budget like? Also what style are you going for? As an isolated observation I think the fire place would look nice painted a dark matte gray or black

I strongly recommend that since you have a very nice livable house, that you live in it for at least 6 months to a year before you do anything. That will save you making costly mistakes.

I agree for the most part Sushupup. We want to do the floors before we move in though since thatll be easier with out all the furniture. everything else we plan on waiting a little while. The house is definitely livable the way it is, we're only doing cosmetic upgrades. I was just trying to have a general idea of what I wanted to do. I'm the kind of person that likes a good plan lol. You guys have made me reconsidered the floors. When I look through different stores my eyes always go to floors similar to the one I posted though. I appreciate all your ideas though.

Rebekah I was considering something like this for the fireplace. I dont really know what style. I'm not good at all that😂 I just need someone to come make all the decisions for me lol

perhaps you should hire an expert (Interior Designer) to help you with a long term plan.

The problem with doing flooring first is that you'll be stuck with that, even if you regret it later. An expensive mistake. Especially for the kitchen, you want to create a unified palette. Your floor and cabinets and countertops and backsplash and all that expensive stuff, really have to tie together. Paint is cheap and can be easily changed. Cabinets and countertops, not so easy and very expensive. Don't do things piecemeal, but rather as a whole. Even that little wet bar, leave it there until you know what you want to do.

I make no claims to being a designer, but it's common sense to make remodel selections from the items with the least amount of selection (appliances) to the items with the most (wall paint colors). Now your choices are alway expanding and you aren't crying to your top fabricator that nothing in his yard matches your wall paper border.

What do you guys think of the flooring in this inspiration photo for the kitchen? If we were to go this route. I think I'm liking the white washed look of the fireplace. Thoughts?
