Yesterday, I saw California poppies blooming. They are typically a spring/summer flower. We had some heavy rains in late September and after that warmer than usual fall weather. Those two things combined have caused this year's crop of poppy seeds to sprout resulting in plants that are now producing fall flowers. I think many of the plants are confused this year.

I have always wanted and never had a pantry!! I am always envious when I visit family that have them. This picture is 10 years old and this cabinet is now jampacked with stuff that I'm sure is out of date and that would be a good project for a rainy day before trash pickup. But Rocket was a rascal, always up on the counters and he saw an opening..........
