Wallpaper to match my valance fabric in powder room?
Comments (17)Nice but most would not fit in with your sage paint. I’ve found the easiest way to get your room coordinated is to find the fabric (or wallpaper) you want to use first and to pull colors from that for the other elements in the room. Now that you’ve decided to redo the cornice, you need to either find a paper that will work with your paint or find a wallpaper that makes your heart sing (which it really should) and then you can choose the colors from the print for the paint and window fabric. If repainting isn’t an option (which I can totally understand if it isn’t) What might be a good idea for you to do is to take a sample card of your paint color to the wall paper store and see what options it has that will work with your color choice....See MoreHelp w/ Phillip Jeffries Grasscloth Wallpaper - thank you
Comments (19)Casement windows... Brick... Large roof overhangs... Wood paneling... MCM? Love MCM, and grasscloth! I did grasscloth in two rooms in our MCM (entire den, accent wall in master bed). I did a natural grasscloth from Wayfair. I paid somewhere around $45 per 24' x 3' roll, which is very cheap for grasscloth. It doesn't look like Wayfair has my grasscloth listed anymore (SKU was NOWI1195). I didn't put it in any of our rooms with a lot of brick, but then again, I don't have any rooms where plaster meets brick—only wood meets brick. I highly suggest getting samples and hold 'em next to the brick in the room, as your perception of the color can change quite dramatically. For example, this photo below shows my grasscloth, which looks a bit pale greenish with some light brown. Once we got some very blue paintings up in the room, it makes it appear a warm orangish....See MoreWhat style/kind of wallpaper do you think will look for this entryway?
Comments (28)I'm still not getting a sense of your style...what is drama to one person may be crazy to another. I'd suggest searching in houzz for wallpaper and foyer in photos and see what might appeal. If you're going for modern drama then a large graphic may suit you. But keep in mind that it's not just the color but the level of contrast between the color and the background that's going to count in terms of how 'disturbing' the pattern is. If you're looking to warm up the area, then a woven texture could be what you want. This is an example of vibrancy driven by the boldness of the graphic design, the repetition of the pattern and the color contrast. It's certainly dramatic, though I couldn't live with it. And be aware that some papers really speak to a specific style be it asian influence... ...or traditional......See MoreBedroom Decor Ideas?
Comments (7)i would do a taller lamp, and try some tall mirrors behind them. something along this line maybe a new, lighter nightstand. ( I like the campaign style in a teal too) the faux bamboo always looks nice painted a bold color for sure you need a new light. chandelier. another idea: I also like these pendants over your nightstands (but something lighter than your dark brown) or a sconce,,,not these in particular, but I like the way they look on the wall...See MoreJWCreative LLC
