Is this table too 'formal' looking for large eat in kitchen
Comments (3)As was already mentioned, it would depend on the style of the kitchen. I think the table is nice, but the large scrolled ironwork base would limit you to seating four comfortably. If that is all you would need, then certainly that would be fine. Since you say that the kitchen is large, I am guessing you are not short of workspace, but I know that I use my kitchen table all the time in that way. If that might be an issue for you, I would consider that when you think about what type of top surface and finish your table will have. Be careful about the fabric you choose if you decide to change the seats. It can't be too casual, or it won't look like it belongs with the set....See MoreIs this table too 'formal' for large eat in kitchen?
Comments (3)I dont think so at all. I like the look of something a little different. I had the table below in my kitchen for going on 9 years, with three kids who are now 8,9 & 11. I didnt do anything special with it, and we used placemats, etc, only occasionally. It doesn't look new but its still beautiful. Comments (12)Take a photo or just stand where you enter the room. From that perspective, you have to consider the line of sight and how the pendants are going to fight the table light or not. Will the table light hang lower? Will you see just the bottom of it below the sight line of the pendants. To me, the answer is if they are going to "interrupt" each other, than you shouldn't have both. What about more can lights?...See MoreUser
