do you have a food blog, or can you recommend one?
Comments (23)Oh my goodness... where to start!? I've already seen so many of my favorites listed, but these are the blogs I visit every morning with my coffee. I end up following links to a bunch of others, but these are the ones I go back to all the time. http://thepoineerwoman.com http://smittenkitchen.com http://bakingbites.com http://www.elise.com/recipes/ http://tartelette.blogspot.com http://bakeorbreak.com http://www.culinaryconcoctionsbypeabody.com/ http://jenyu.net/blog http://davidlebovitz.com http://www.cookingforengineers.com/ Some of them, like Pioneer Woman, aren't about fancy food but are just really good (with lots of butter, mmmm)! Others, like Elise's Simply Recipes are great as a go to reference source. Still others, like Tartelette, just make me drool. I'm looking forward to checking out all the other great blogs linked here. Some, like French Laundry at Home I've checked out but never really gotten into reading every day. I'll have to give them a look! Bri...See MoreDo You Have A Certain Day of The Week You
Comments (19)Hubby and I go on Sunday, usually every other Sunday after we do breakfast out.. I really try to keep stocked up so I don"t have to go to the grocery store between these shopping trips.. I used to be one of those that was in our local Wal-Mart every day. I am now more organized, plan my meals ahead of time.. cook extra and freeze for later use, we do some shopping at Costco, and another discount food market, We have cut our grocery bill consiterably since doing this.. the least amount of visits to the store, the less likly to spend on impluse. I am now big on making lists and menu planning, at first it was a hassel, but now I enjoy knowing what is for dinner, and enjoy the fact all the items needed for that meal are at hand.. once in a while I have to make a quick run to the store but not too often. Another tip is i freeze milk, since that is one item than tends to run out.....See MoreWhat kind of food processor do you have?
Comments (17)I Was aware that kitchen aide was now made by whirlpool, and that my old kitchenaide food processer was actually made by kitchenaide. Someone ask the question WHY I did not go with kitchenaide in the first place since I was familiar with the kitchenaide and that was one of the reasons why...also like I said before, I was looking at a cooking show on t.v. and they were using cruisinart. That is why I thought I would like a cruisinart instead of a kitchenaide. Then I had second thoughts, as I had told my SIL that I had bought a cruisinart, and she told me she had, had more problems with her cruisinart. I started questioning my choice, so I Thought I could come on here to get a vast number of opinions. I am going to keep my cruisinart...actually used it today, and really like it. Either my K.A. was wearing out for awhile or this is just a tougher machine. Also nice and quiet. Looking through your responses, I found more people satisfied with the Cruisinart than the kitchen aide. So thanks for your help. Much appreciated!! Your opinion of appliances counts with me! That is the #l thing I like about the K.T. and would read alot of your suggestions and opinions before I EVER started posting. Again thank you....See MoreWhen Fall Rolls Around What Foods do You Liike to Have?
Comments (19)Apples, pumpkin pie and of course soup. When the air gets that crisp feel and smell, the first things I think of are football and chili. Someone gave me a butternut squash a couple weeks ago and we liked it so much I bought one at the grocery store yesterday. So it may get added to the above list....See More- 6 years ago
