AERO BROIL is especially suitable for foods that you might normally pan-fry, barbecue or rotisserie. Always broil with the oven door completely closed. Note that power levels are expressed as a percentage from LO (50% power) to HI (100% power) in BROIL and MAXI BROIL functions. Most broiling is carried out on HI, but you may want to reduce the heat to suit your needs. We recommend that you place food on the three-piece broil/roast system. In BROIL and MAXI BROIL, best results may be achieved by preheating the broiler for about five minutes before you begin cooking."

The hoods at the link appear to be 19 or 22 inches deep (front to back). Strive for as much front-to-back depth as available in your price range because it will improve capture of the rising and expanding cooking plume effluent. I'm not sure what "commercial style cooking" means, but unless the baffle pitch angle is greater than 45 degrees, the assembly is non-compliant with NFPA 90 for commercial installations. Lower angles typical of residential designs are fine for residential purposes. I'm looking for a stain resistant wall to wall carpet in Manhattan and hoping to spend <10$/sf including padding, installed. I am intrigued by Kerastan Smartstrand since it feels very plush/soft and is good for resisting stains, but I've heard that Smartstrand may wear poorly. Does anyone have any experience or can anyone make other suggestions? I have small kids at home so I'm looking for something that cleans easily but I also want a nice look/feel. TIA!

I hate wall to wall carpet and so should you if you are worried about toxic IMO nothing worse than carpet for holding smells, spills and all things gross.
