Window treatments for a NON window treatment type girl
Comments (14)We are not window treatment people either, but have started to add some as we've reno'd/decorated a few of the rooms in our house; two bathrooms and our office. They really do help to finish off a room. That said, we're not covering our kitchen bow window, or the DR bow window, though I might consider something for the DR window at some point--just for the window panes themselves, not to cover the whole bow-unit. We used Hunter Douglas' Designer Screen Shades in the Roman Shade style (ours are mounted inside the frames becuase of our window style/frame depth). The shades are very clean-lined and range in sheerness. With the sheerer weaves/fabrics, you can see outside with them down and they allow a lot of light in....See MoreWindow treatments on large recessed living room window
Comments (8)Hey there: you can easily install motorized roller shades to this window...inside mount with the installation to the top - remote controlled for your convenience. This way you keep the casing visible and don't block to much of your glass... The fabric options are almost endless - you can even go with zebra roller shades... These are all kinds a professional shutter company can determine if you have someone out for an estimate. Most of the stuff we do these days is outside mount because of tilt in windows or lack of depth in the opening....See MoreWhat is the best window treatments for a master bath? UPDATE
Comments (6)I got a light-filtering top-down bottom-up cellular shade for the large window in my master bath. Like you, I like my view and need light but also need privacy at times. I was worried about someone being able to see through the shade (especially at night with the bathroom light on), but you have to put your hand right on the shade to actually be able to see it from outside. I got my shades from here: https://www.selectblinds.com/cellular-shades/cordless-top-down-bottom-up-light-filtering-shades.html...See Moreseosmp
