Punched Tin Linen Closet Door Inserts
Comments (21)Hi rtwilliams... we (I use the term loosely) are thrilled with the inset door style - only wish I'd known when we spec'd out the kitchen. Thank you for posting the picture, I've admired it many times and looked up the MFR as well. eandhl - thanks, I like those too very much. However, with the creamy white color cabinet I picked (same as my kitchen so well do I know the color!), a dark glass/combination is dissatisfying. As soon as I realized this, I moved on to a glass insert, vs. tin. Lynn - you are SPOT ON! If not a display case, do not showcase contents!! And to be honest... it may not end up being a linen closet. I just called it that for lack of a better label. It may end up being overflow shoe storage (mine of course!) and I may even give DH some real estate. The only thing purposed so far are the lower drawers, which will hold afghans/small comforters for use in the family room. Exciting (and slightly scary) update. I ordered these Wednesday morning and went to work questioning my choice. Later in the day, when I received a shipment email, I was sure it was the glass sample I'd included..... DH most kindly helped unpack and get these ready for pictures and then even told me to post my update before we start dinner. He's one in a million. Thanks for reading and enjoying with me. Look for the construction thread due to start (hopefully) this weekend! Please ignore the dog hair (and dog) on the carpet....See MoreLoose Dog Attacked My Dog- Help With Advice
Comments (52)Remy continues to improve and is about 90% "himself". He went for a walk this morning, and I'd even say he was jaunty ;-) Another good sign is that he's barking at all things that pass by the front of our house. He's still on Rimadyl for a couple more days, and of course is finishing out his antibiotics. The wounds are healing nicely, with the largest one still weeping a bit, but that one was really gaping. Remy's getting lots of love and attention (and home cooked meals), and is able to sleep on the bed with us again. I think that has been really helpful for him to do his normal nocturnal snuggling. Thanks for all the well wishes! Stitches removed in a few days....See MoreInventive ways to store dog food in base cabinets?
Comments (7)Thanks guys All good ideas We want something big enough for a big bag of food so it is convenient and do want a lid so we don't get ants. I appreciate the ideas! Fori - I looked at doing that and really like the idea. I am just worried that we would eventually decide to use that cabinet for something else and be stuck because we already have a trash pullout planned. That is why I was thinking a trash pullout under the sink. That way if we decided later not to use it for dog food we could just uninstall. The bin on the pullout shelf DrB477 has would work too, though we would probably need a bigger bucket for the food....See MoreBuilt In Dog Crate
Comments (30)murraysmom, for most dogs, their crate is a place of safety and security. Many prefer to go to their crates to avoid any chaos that's happening. And if they're home alone, many dogs prefer being locked in their crates because then they don't feel "responsible" for the entire house, and it reduces their stress level. It's not sad, it's recognizing that dogs have different psychological needs than we do, and meeting those needs - rather than trying to make them conform to ours....See Moreci_lantro
