Comments (19)Bikes available for rent in San Diego. Just pay with a credit card and off you go. Of course, like many things involving humans, a new set of problems have been created. When done with them, many people abandon them in the streets, on sidewalks, in parking lots, etc., instead of returning them to the bike stands. The city is now trying to figure out how to get people to stop doing that - the original intent is good though!...See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - F 1/10
Comments (16)Our apartment in Thailand required us to insert our key card in this slot to turn on the lights to the premises. When we left the apartment, we took the key card with us and when it was removed from the slot, the lights and the A/C were turned off. The light switches and A/C wouldn't work unless the key was inserted in the slot...with this set up, there is no way to waste electricity by leaving lights and/or the A/C on when tenants aren't home. There were also many buildings that had escalators that didn't run until someone stepped on them in order to go to another floor. I had not seen this before and thought it a great idea....See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - Su 1/10/21
Comments (29)Murraysmom, I used to give cat food to an old lady who lived down the bayou from me. I had her 4 cats neutered for her. She died and I fed the cats. Meanwhile, someone dumped out a white cat there. She had kittens. I told her boyfriend I would find homes for the kittens. He said he was keeping one and he knew people who would take the others. But he moved off and left them. I moved away but furnished food and paid someone to feed them. Once I got settled, I went back and got them. By then the mama cat, and her 3 daughters were all pregnant...they all had white kittens. I have so many white cats, I can hardly tell them apart....See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - Fr 10/1/21

This is an old picture... Sandia Peak Tram near Albuquerque. I think it hailed while we were up at the top.
7 years agoSince I am not a fan of heights, the only photo I have up in the air is me trying to conquer my fear by ziplining 10 years ago.

On the Island of Madeira, there is a cable car that goes from the main city, Funchal, up the side of the island to a suburb named Monte.
From there you can either take the cable car back down, or if you are adventurous you can take this sled and ride down the steep streets most of the way to the original starting point.

7 years agoI still am surprised how much we love this guy. He must have had his first birthday sometime last month. Gone from a little four-pounder to a 10.5 pounder.
He flies back to FL with us 3 weeks from today.
