Request for help: First Grow Room Setup in Basement
Comments (6)I'm not an expert on ventilation but from what I know it's a very bad idea to try to add additional fans to an existing system. Those exhaust pipes are designed to handle only so much air pressure and if you add a fan too much pressure might build up and the exhaust will find it's easiest way to get out, not necessarily the top of your roof. If you tap into your heating duct you might have the same problem. Obviously you would need to create more pressure than your furnace fan produces and if the air is forced back into the furnace instead of the vent in your bathroom you're just asking for trouble :) You said you're using to T5 lamps so I assume you just need ventilation to get some fresh air inside and keep the air temp in check correct? If that's the case why not just have the room open, the fan will bring in fresh air into the room from the rest of the basement and control the humidity with a humidifier? Why do you need an air filter, do you still have radon in the air ?...See MoreNew Home Theater Setup HELP!
Comments (3)hi hdmont What size room is it? What is your budget for speakers/reciver? What do you watch/listen to mostly? Since it is a basement I presume its a fairly large room. Most ppl who buy 42" seem to upgrade to 50" fairly quickly. Have you considered installing a projector? If you want I can give you detailed suggestions over phone....See Morehelp with living room setup
Comments (20)We might recommend moving the TV/fireplace to where the shelf is currently hanging. We think if you place the fireplace in the middle with artwork over it, and then place the TV lower on the wall over a console, then you should be able to place the sofa facing both the fireplace and TV. You would be able to place a small console where the TV/fireplace is now and have that as an entryway. If you got two chairs they might be able to be placed where the window is, next to the door. Comments (3)I would configure a sectional with one arm down the kitchen/open wall and one arm down the wall the TV is currently on, and then put the TV above the fireplace or to the left of the fireplace. nice open walkway to the sliding door and still cozy....See MoreJayden Mccaig
