Integrated LED exterior lights--good sources???

My city's code says I need integrated LED exterior lights. I'm shocked that this means the light/bulb is hardwired into the fixture. When it goes out, you can't change the bulb, so you need to replace the entire fixture. (WTF? How is it good for the environment to generate all this waste?) Anyway...where are people finding good quality products? I've read enough reviews to see that not all products live up to their advertised extended life. It makes me reluctant to splurge on a beautiful fixture if the bulb is going to take it down. Are there workarounds? (i.e. down the line....can an electrician rewire the "integrated" bulb part?)

Here's a random article on replacing LED arrays.
