Favorite Pizza Toppings?
Comments (39)My DH will only eat pepperoni and mushroom pizza, with garlic, onions, and tons of parm. Eating out I choose ham and pineapple, or white pizza, from the store I pick the thin crust California Kitchen BBQ chicken. I bought a thrift-store book that has 50 different toppings and 30 crust recipes, but OOP now. About a third are hot Tex-Mex so I've not made them (hot pepper wimp) but the others I've tried at least once, even the salad pizzas and the dessert pizzas! I've found that just about anything baked on a crust is great, especially cold the next day for breakfast. YUM! I've been trying to find a gluten-free pizza crust recipe that tastes good, but have had no luck so far. Do any of you have one? Nancy...See MoreI'm looking for something yummy to do with hamburger
Comments (11)Chinese Hamburger (over rice): Brown whatever hamburger meat you have with a diced onion. Add one (two around here) cans of green/yellow beans (water and all) Add one can of either baby corns, or if you like water chestnuts, or anything else that takes your fancy! Add a couple of tablespoons of soya sauce (you can use light soya too) couple of tablespoons of brown sugar, couple of tablespoons of vinegar tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves mashed garlic crushed chili peppers flakes to personal taste You can thicken the sauce a little with cornstarch and water, or rice starch and water, but don't do it with flour.. seems too thick that way. Simmer 20 mins or so or until rice is cooked. Pour meat over rice, cheap, cheerful, and simple!...See MoreWho posted the 'Creamy Hamburger Soup'?
Comments (15)DH is the soup maker here. Now, I don't like canned soup as well as I used to. He makes a soup like this in the crock pot. Hamburger and onion, cooked and drained. Cream of Mushroom soup, beef broth, V-8 (plain or spicy). Sometimes no V-8 but 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom soup. Then he dumps in any veggies (canned, frozen, fresh) we have on hand. Could be mixed veggies and/or green beans, peas, corn, carrots...and if we don't have taters on hand, he uses the canned sliced potatoes. With just the two of us, we don't eat many potatoes so we keep the canned kind on hand for soups. Also, they're good to have on hand when the weather is bad (and soup sounds good) and a trip to the store for potatoes isn't an option. We love this soup! (or stewp, as his girlfriend Rachel Ray calls it). Now, we have a name for it..."Creamy Hamburger Soup"! Who knew...??? Leslie/KS...See MoreAn Ode to the fast food Hamburger
Comments (47)I just remembered. I have had McDonalds burgers many times! Every time I traveled to a different country, I always ended up going to their McDonalds at least once. For instance, when I was in Paris, I was getting tied of French food the last days. Let me tell you, a French Big Mc tasted really good. When I was in Argentina, where they really like meat, I even had a Royal Cheese with wine. Yes, you can get wine with your "Big Mac" there. From Pulp Fiction ------------------------------------------- VINCENT: ...You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris? JULES: They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with Cheese? VINCENT: No, they got the metric system there, they wouldn't know what the f??k a Quarter Pounder is. JULES: What'd they call it? VINCENT: Royale with Cheese. JULES: Royale with Cheese. What'd they call a Big Mac? VINCENT: Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it Le Big Mac. JULES: What do they call a Whopper? VINCENT: I dunno, I didn't go into a Burger King. -------------------------------------- dcarch This post was edited by dcarch on Fri, Jan 16, 15 at 14:36...See More- 6 years ago
