Sides for BBQ'd hamburgers

We're planning a small (immediate family only) birthday party to celebrate my mom's upcoming 80th birthday. She is still in very good health and very active; she just doesn't want a big shindig. Anyway, she loves a good BBQ'd hamburger and actually suggested that for the menu, so I think that is what we'll cook on our new Weber kettle grill.

I'm trying to plan the rest of the menu and this is what I have so far:

- Corn on the cob (not sure, may be hard for her to eat with a dental bridge... I'll ask her)

- watermelon

- cabbage salad (NOT cole slaw)

- perhaps another green salad w/ veggies

- relish tray (pickles, radishes, etc. -- she always liked those when she prepared a BBQ meal)

- beans

- ???

- ???

Dessert will be birthday cake, homemade ice cream, fresh strawberries (perhaps a sundae bar type of thing).

I'm wondering if anyone has some favorite side dishes you like to serve with BBQ'd burgers, and also munchies that won't leave us too full to eat the main meal. Her taste is fairly simple... she likes plain pizza, dislikes cilantro and peppers, spicy/hot ethnic dishes (except salsa)... otherwise her taste is typical American fare.
