Do not open if you don't want to see roses
Comments (22)Debra- Cherry Sunblaze is three shrubs planted really close together. The little white roses in the pondside roses picture are actully two shrubs side by side. In the rose planter corner, the red in front Be Bop, is one plant but the pinkish white directly in back, Charles Aznavour, are two shrubs. Florabundaville has lots of yellow in front. Four plants of Sunsprite, one of Sunblaze and one of Julia Child. All planted in a row about 18 inches apart. Then there is a pink at the very begining of the row. Above that row are many more roses going up the slope which is not terraced except for the front row. They are all one of each of whatever. Have lots in there. The exception is Home Run, red single rose, visable in the looking up at my house picture. It is two side by side. The curved terrace and the mid yard have only one rose of whatever type but there are many roses and they are close together. In fact they are two roses deep (staggered) in the curved terrace and three deep in the mid part of the mid yard bed. Sort of football shaped....See MoreWhat plants do you want to see giant-ized?
Comments (13)since giants tend to be marginally edible anyway how bout a giant okra onion bean or corn. as a matter of discussion on the giants are any of you familiar with giants in anything but anuals? I know there are a few comercial examples like a bigger strawberry and apple gurneys peddles but i have never heard of cmpetitions, as to popularity i think I read a british book and it was popular there before it became a USA thing. I suspect australians and new zealanders do it too as they are adept horticulturists probably india and the orient as well anyone who grows giant goldfish and 3 inch trees no doubt dabbles in giant fruits and vegies. I would guess harvest fairs and comparisons are world wide passtimes....See MoreDo you want to see my chic wallpaper border?
Comments (21)Thanks, Susan - I'm sure there are better ways to do it, but all I did was take two plate hangers (from michaels)and hook them together in the back, one hooked to the top and the other hooked to the bottom and hookied together in the middle. The platter is fairly large and required two hanger. Then, I nailed one small picture hanger in the center of the backsplash on the grout line and hung it on that....See MoreDo you want to see Quartz with Silgranit sink?
Comments (9)Thanks guys! I am glad to have some of my perimeter counters in. My island counter has been quite an another story. The original fabricator broke 2 slabs of it while it was being cut (2 separate times). I told him I wanted to change fabricators. (I gently reminded him that I was still using him for the Silestone and the laundry room granite.) So, my GC found another slab and a fabricator who HAS worked with the leathered Antique Brown before. Keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out. As you all know, granite slabs can be tricky. Hopefully it will be here in another 2 weeks. I can hardly wait for my backsplash as I think that will end up being the focal point of my kitchen. IMHO, it is very pretty and soft. They are supposed to start on it tomorrow!!! Hurray!! chris45ny, don't you love your sink! I am thrilled with it after coming from a chipped white cast iron/enamel that could always see coffee and tea stains on....See Moredecoenthusiaste
