Here’s what I suggest. Putting the computer in an armoire in the corner by the door. A fun graphic wallcovering on the window wall. Cubbie storage under the window.
Keeping the baby paraphernalia in front of the long closet (red circles on my plan). Play table in front of smaller closet. I would look into carpet tile from Flor.com. Completely removable and the they carry it at the big box shoes now just to help cushions ant falls.

Great idea. If it makes any difference the closets are sliding doors.

Yes, I realized which is good. My program is limited so that’s the only way I can show closet doors lol.

What about corner desk instead of armoire?

That could work too - I would just be concerned with kids getting wrapped up in the cords or pulling something down on their head.

Painting the door and it’s trim to match the wall would de-emphasize the narrowness of the space.

You will be lucky to have a small neat desk space in a playroom. Forget “elegant”. I would focus on giving yourself a desk with at least one drawer for storage. You may want to mount the monitor securely on the wall. Any cords of the computer or monitor should be bound together with Velcro tape to keep them out of the way. The kids’ toys and equipment will change constantly as they grow, so I would just try to keep what they no longer need out of the room. Start teaching them to “pick up and put away” as soon as they can understand the concept. Buy a few plastic bins to hold small things and place them against the wall. Good luck!

Ikea has cubbie storage and if you lay a 4 cubbie unit on its side it is perfect height for a play surface or for sitting on!
