Wanted: Agave Blue glow and Agave Attenuata

I know what you mean! So many gorgeous colors, so few walls! ;-) I just finished painting my kitchen in BM Warren Acres, a very soft green. This is the second gallon of BM Aura paint that I've gone through now, and I can attest that this stuff is the best paint I've ever used. You didn't ask about the Aura line, but since you're looking at BM I wanted to say that I think you would love it too! There's a richness and clarity to the colors that I haven't found in just any ol' paint. Whatever you choose, please post pics! Sounds like you're on your way to a beautifully-hued home.

Where are you located.? How did you treat your soil? Is it well draining soil? How cold did it get this winter and how wet was it where you were when it was cold. This agave is touchy. I would mound the dirt a bit. I have killed mine when it got to 15F and wet. Maybe less cold , but wet got the roots. The Blur glow id marginal for me and I am not replacing it. I would brush away the dirt and see how healthy the tissue is in the crown. I would trim anything that looks like rot and dust it with cinnamon (a natural fungicide) and let it callous for several days and then place it on the dirt to develop new roots. Mist it untill it has grabbed the soil. A rootless succulent does not get moisture from the soil. It only gets rot, so do not water it until roots start to form. It is important to make sure there are no weevils. It is not hopeless, yet.

Hey all. My blue agave plant is in desperate need of being divided but I'm unsure how to go about this. Any advice? If I can find the ingredients to the 5:1:1 mix I'm going to make it tomorrow and plan on reporting in that. Just a bit of a back story. I've had these since pups. They have been relative healthy but this winter while inside I noticed the lower big leaves starting to yellow. I'm guessing I over or under watered it. Or that one of the pups was blocking my drain hole. IDK. Hoping that dividing them and reporting will make them happier. Plant 1 Plant 2 Thanks!
