Anyone have these?

Congratulations, Christy! I've been unsuccessfully trying to get a Camelot for about 6 years now, lol! Every one I've bought has been mis-labeled but yours looks like the real thing. You absolutely did the right thing by taking the peat pot off to plant. I know they say they are biodegradable but they take decades to do so. In the mean time you have a very root bound rose that will eventually fail. You and your new camera took some great photos too!

Mike - I just saw your hummingbird pictures! OH... MY... GOD!!! That is without a doubt one of the coolest things I've ever seen in my entire life. Can you imagine?!?! Thanks so much for sharing!!! Mornings in Camelot sound breathtaking! My property is nowhere near as amazing as yours (...yet Haha - maybe one day). We bought our house in 2002. It's just over 1/4 acre, but I'm not restricted by a "community association" or anything like that. I'm lucky to have a cemetery behind my house - which not only has the benefit of not having to worry about development, but they also allow ACRES of their property to "go wild" every year. That means more critters! That combined with the giant trellis they've donated to me for my clibmers (ie. the 6' chain link fence that borders the entire cemetery hahaha) I feel pretty lucky. :) So far I've made 3 songbird/butterfly/hummingbird gardens varying in size (with a 4th in progress), and my back porch is bordered with containers and hanging baskets full of "useful" plants. My little gardens get a decent amount of activity (obviously - or I'm sure I would have lost interest long ago Hahaha). I still have LOTS of space to be converted to gardens and I'm having so much fun with all of it! :) My "for now" goal is to have at least one whole side of my property bordered by plants for my little flying friends - and then add more gardens of course once that's done! Can one really ever have too many? ;) I'd love to eventually add a small wildlife pond too (I adore frogs and dragonflies) - but I'm just projecting now. :p Lisa

I'm wondering about the Asiatic Lily 'Camelot'. Jung Seeds identifies it as an Asiatic Lily, but a Google search just now suggests that it may actually be an LA Hybrid Lily, instead. I have both Lollypop and Sugar Jewel Asiatic lilies, which are very nice pinks at first; but they fade into an unattractive beige color very quickly. I also have Algarve LA Hybrid lilies, which hold their color much better. Even when they do fade, they fade to a nice pastel paler pink - instead of beige. Would Camelot fade really quickly? If it does fade, would it fade to a paler pink color? Are there any other pink Asiatic lilies that don't fade really quickly to an unattractive beige color? Or do the LA Hybrids generally tend to hold their color better? Thanks, Sharon
