Reviving my peperomia pepperspot?

When I first bought this plant, it was gorgeous, bushy and dark in colour, and always reached towards my window. But a couple of months ago I noticed it was looking sad, a bit droopy and soft and with several dead leaves. I gave it a good trim but it doesn't seem to have recovered since.

Recently I moved house and decided to repot with fresh soil, and cut some stems to propagate in water. Just wondering if anyone has tips for reviving him because he looks so limp, pale and bedraggled - or is he a lost cause?
