Comments (13)Good point Lavender. Now that you point that out, as a guest, I'd feel more encouraged to help myself to the closet if it wasn't full of personal belongings. To you, which one is the bigger bathroom ?? I think they are all aprox the same size and just configured differently. I remember when you were working on your big working pantry years ago. I'd love to see what your house wound up looking like. I assume it's been posted, if so, can you share your link? Red, you just gave me an in between idea. I could take up less room and have a closet with less depth that has pegs in it and space for some other items guest may want (a wrap to sit outside, or some slippers if their shoes happen to be muddy ---hey, I can hope for no drought, right?) Awww, thanks for the compliment on my plans. Scottie, thanks! I will definitely post the after pictures. They are breaking ground tomorrow morning so it will be a while. Soon we will be tackling my kitchen storage, so stay tuned for more postings :) If we do a bench, I think I like your idea of the trunk so we could store some more things So far we have one vote for the second to the last photo ......See MoreNeed help decorating my small powder room
Comments (20)More info on the tile....in the questions for that photo, they say the tile is Puka Iridescent. I had a feeling that Puka was Sonoma Tilemakers but I couldn't check last night. So I have found it in their Vihara line of glass tiles. I actually like their Silk colors better than their Iridescent colors as an iridescent has other colors that probably won't work with your cream and brown granite. I had samples of Oceanside glass tiles in the polished, matte, and iridescent tiles, and just a touch of the iridescent wouldn't be bad in a custom mix. They have many colors, shapes, and sizes like Vihara. Your problem will be that you only need one or two sheets of tile for your backsplash and many places have minimum orders. https://sonomatilemakers.com/vihara/...See MoreMy family room needs your help
Comments (3)Hi Rina -- What a wonderful room. Perhaps a more modern squared sectional or a sofa with a lounge end and then add another chair . Or have matching sofas back to back with a narrow console table between for lamps etc then add another chair and an upholstered ottoman for the backed sofa . That should fill the void in the center . Everything looks real nice right now ....See MoreMy quirky idea for my powder room, I need help.
Comments (16)"And what is the huge commitment? If you tire of wallpaper - even if it is the "real" kind, just change it. It is a small space and not a huge financial commitment." Helen, maybe I'm terribly unlucky but I still have leftover glue from the PO's wallpaper border in one of my bathrooms. (If only the vanity had that kind of durability :P). Also, don't know about Victoria's option but the wallpaper murals that tempt me end up running close to 1K for a small room. Must admit when I break down the wallpaper option, it daunts me quickly. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade as I love the look of many wallpapered powder rooms. @Victoria Holloway, forgot another alternative to wallpaper: paint stencil (depending on DIY-ability, etc.). Just sharing in case you want options. I wish you luck in your decision. Keep pattern scale in mind for best effect and if you go ahead with it, please share your "after" pics!...See MoreDebbi Washburn
